Helen Hanako Ogata, 89
Helen Hanako Ogata, 89, of Kahului, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2017, with her loving family by her side.
Services honoring Mrs. Ogata will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2017, at Kahului Union Church. Visitation will begin at 9:30am, and service at 10:00am. Mrs. Ogata will be laid to eternal rest at Maui Memorial Park at 2:00pm.

Helen Ogata was born on June 26, 1927, in Makawao, Hawaii, to Masaji & Shizu Otsu. Helen worked at the Maui Palms and Tokyo Tei as a waitress. Helen loved to go fishing, running, traveling, but most importantly, she loved to spend time with her family.
Helen was predeceased by her loving husband, Sueto Ogata, whom she was married to until his passing in 1991; and daughter, Colleen Williams.
Helen leaves to cherish her memory, sons, Neil (Cynthia) Ogata, Karl Ogata, and Craig Ogata; daughter, Jan (Keith) Inouye; son-in-law, Eugene Williams; grandchildren, Scott Williams, Chad Williams, Jillian Ogata, Wendi Ogata, Kiley Inouye and Kassie Inouye; and great grandchild, Parker Williams.
