Glenn Kamalani McLean, 66
Glenn Kamalani McLean (Chuckie Boy) of Waikapu & Hana, Maui passed away on December 1, 2017 of pneumonia. He was born on June 25, 1951 in Honolulu.
After retiring as a fish wholesaler, he returned to school and earned a Bachelors of Arts degree in Hawaiian Studies with a deep interest in preserving the mana’o of Maui’s kupuna. He lived everyday to the fullest surfing, fishing, playing music, travelling, caretaking older family members and enjoying his community and his family.
He is survived by his partner Kathryn Underwood; brothers, Jerry (Vickie) McLean, Grant (Marge) Akana and sister, Noelani Akana; three children Tia McLean, Luke McLean and Iliahi McLean and three grandchildren Riley Agpalo, Naia Hagemann and Amira Hagemann.
