Roy Shoji Yashiro, 90
Roy Shoji Yashiro, 90, of Wailuku, quietly passed away on December 19, 2017 at Maui Memorial Medical Center. Private services were held on January 20, 2018. Roy was peacefully laid to rest next to his wife, Flora (“Flo”), at the Mal)i Veterans’ Cemetery in Makawao. Nakamura Mortuary assisted with arrangements.
Roy was born on May 19, 1927 to Jotetsu and Shijeko Yashiro. He was the youngest of three children and the second son.
He graduated from Farrington High School in Oahu and then was drafted into the U.S. Army during the end of World War II. After his service, he used his 01 Bill and moved )lis new bride to Milwaµl
