Matsuko Haruguchi, 107, of Lahaina, passed away peacefully at Hale Makua Kahului on December 26, 2017,
Services honoring Mrs. Haruguchi will be held privately at a later date. Nakamura Mortuary assisted with arrangements.
Matsuko was born in Lahaina on November 4, 1910 to Taichi & Yukano Hara. She was the eldest of 4 children. She worked at Baldwin Packers in Lahaina. In 1932, she married Richard Haruguchi, and together they raised 5 children. Matsuko enjoyed growing her flowers and ferns in her yard. She will be fondly remembered as a sociable person with dry humor and a quick smile.
