Karen Hatsuko (Ota) Wintermyre, 76

Karen Hatsuko (Ota) Wintermyre, beloved mother, sister, aunt, friend, and doggie-grandma, lost her courageous 9-month battle with pancreatic cancer at age 76 on March 19, 2018 in Bend, OR. She was born in Wailuku, Maui, HI on May 4 1941 to Elsie Taeko Ota and Charles Iwao (Kas) Ota.

She is survived by her son Jim Jr. of Santa Cruz CA, and brothers Charlie of Aiea HI, and Yoshio of Waipahu HI.
