Roy R. Hoshide, 82, of Kahului passed away peacefully at his residence on June 30, 2018. He was born in Ookala, Hawaii and was a graduate of Hilo High School. Roy then resided on Oahu, and retired from Hawaiian Tel/GTE, then Aloha Airlines. He spent the last 9 years on Maui to be closer to his granddaughters.
Roy is survived by his wife, Tsuruyo; daughters, Traci (Kevin) Kubo and Jonelle; granddaughters, Brynn, Peytynn and Shelby; sister, Eloise Hoshide, and sister in law, Eleanor (George) Hoshide, nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his parents, Yoshikazu and Miteru Hoshide; brother, George and sisters, Jane and Sandra.
He will be dearly missed. Private services were held.
