Charles Kaui Ma'alea, 85, of Haiku, passed away on July 16, 2018 at Maui Memorial Medical Center. He was born on September 20, 1932 in Kuau, Maui.
Visitation 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at Ballard Family Mortuary, service at 7 p.m.
Visitation 9 a.m. on Friday, August 10, 2018 at Ballard Family Mortuary, service 11 a.m., burial 1 p.m. at Valley Isle Memorial Park.
Charles retired from Maui Electric where he worked as a welder.
He is survived by his sons, Alexander Ma'alea, Charles Ma'alea; daughters, Charline (Ray) Garcia, Rose (Pieter) Smith, Jonette Ma'alea, Naomi (Jim) Conaway, Lorna Ma'alea; sisters, Winona Nunes, Ellen Yap; 19 grandchildren, and 30 great-grandchildren.
Charles is predeceased by his wife, Rachael Mae Ma'alea.
