Claudia Shimabuku, 89
Claudia Shimabuku, 89, of Wailuku, Maui passed away on September 28, 2018. She was born on January 25, 1929 in Paia, Maui.
Throughout her life, Claudia worked at Valley Hardware where she loved socializing with family and friends. She was a fun-loving grandmother who loved traveling and was devoted to her Jehovah’s Witness faith.
Claudia is survived by her husband, Rinky Shimabuku; son, Randy (Michele) Shimabuku; granddaughters, Shanele, Shantae and Shevone Shimabuku, and Sherise (David) Lyons. She is also survived by her siblings Molly Takushi, Herbert Nakasone, and Joyce Chan. She is preceded in death by her parents, Kama and Kame Nakasone; sisters, Ruth Kobashigawa, Chiyo Ginoza, Peggy Nako, and Kathleen Lee.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2018 from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Nakamura Mortuary with the service to follow at 5 p.m.
