Douglas “Bud” Lau, 56
Douglas “Bud” Lau, at the age of 56, passed away at home in Wailuku the morning of Friday, 11/23/2018.
Bud was born in Honolulu to Douglas Arturo Alagan and Patricia Jean Viernes on 6/12/1962. He worked as a driver & sales representative for wholesale and food distributers for many years. He was a member of Ekalesia O Kupaianaha church in Wailuku and those who knew him remember fondly of how hard working, dapper, and funny he was.
Bud is preceded in death by his father and is survived by Evette, his wife, and stepsons, Kaimana and Naehu Kamaka, Juanita, his first wife, and their children, Jacy (Jodie), Darryl, and Natasha (Sergei), his brothers Derek (Jenny) and Curtis (Jolynn “HoneyGirl”), his sister, Camille, his mom & stepfather, Rev. Patricia and Rev. Phillip Kaina, his adoptive father, Henry CF Lau, grandchildren, Isaiah, Genesis, and Gavin, and numerous nieces and nephews
Celebration of life will be held at Hale Nanea Council House (60 Amala Pl, Kahului) on Thursday, 12/6/2018 with memorial service to start at 9:00AM and potluck luncheon to follow at 10:30AM-1:30PM. Scattering of ashes will be done at a later time.
The family requests no flowers and no alcohol beverages at the luncheon.
