Yoshio Murakami, 94, of Kahului, Maui, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2019 at his residence with loving family by his side.
Services honoring Mr. Murakami were held privately by family.
Yoshio was born on October 11, 1924 to Mr. Yoneji and Mrs. Uku Murakami in Maui, Hawaii. Yoshio served proudly in the Unites States Army. He worked as a Division Director at United Public Workers. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed fishing, and golfing; but most importantly, he enjoyed time with friends and family.
Yoshio Murakami leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 67 years, Lillian Murakami; sons, Keith (Marilyn) Murakami, and Alan Murakami; daughters, Norene (Michael) Shim, and Gail Murakami; 5 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
