Gorgonio “Gonio” Guillermo, 92

Gorgonio "Gonio" Guillermo, 92, was born on June 30th, 1926 in Keanae Maui. He passed away on March 12th, 2019 peacefully at his home in Paia.

He served in the US Army from 1945-1947. Upon returning was employed at Maui Pineapple Company as a carpenter and retired after 42 years. Gonio being restless as a retiree found employment at the Department of Agriculture as a Plant Protection Aid for 25 years until retirement in 2018 at the age of 91.

Gonio is survived by his loving wife of 72 years Momoe Elizabeth Guillermo. Along with their children, Sons; Jackie K. (Naomi S.) Guillermo, Patrick (Eileen) Guillermo, Timothy (Joyce) Guillermo and Dennis (Alvin) Guillermo. Daughters; Carme-Lynne Tan (Nelson) and Grace (deceased Lew) Shimabuku. Gonio is also survived by his 11 Grandchildren; Shannon, Jayna, Jennifer, Kimberly (Nina), Melissa (Shane), Lee (Kristie) Guillermo, Kris (Eassie) Miller, Shawntell (Kainoa) Ladines, Nicolas Tan, Ian (Carm) Shimabuku and Dain (Dale) Shimabuku. Along with 18 Great Grandchildren; Psalm M.K Moriwake, Isiah and Emanuel Perkins, Imani and Aziza Butler, Tyna and Tyler Davis, Kade, Chase and Kaitlyn Guillermo, Kayli and Eassie Kaiehu Miller, Jhorden, Jaelen, Taylor and Leia Shimabuku, Celeste Tan and Zaryn Ladines. 1 Great Great Grandchild; Honesty Perkins. Sister-in-law, Hilaria (Jack) Guillermo.

Gonio is predeceased by his parents Timoteo and Estaquia Guillermo. Along with Siblings; Jack (Hilaria) Guillermo, Victor (Josephine) Guillermo, Maggie (Nicanor) Aquino, Dorothy (Florencio Sr.) Garcia, Jean Guillermo, and Minnie (Pablo) Sol.

Memorial Service will be held on March 30th, 2019 at Ballard Family Mortuary. Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m - 10:00a.m. Service will be 10:00 a.m. with lunch to follow. Family

request no flowers, along with casual attire. Private Burial will be held at a later date.
