George Gohara, 90, of Pukalani died July 2,2019 at his home. George was born in Pukalani, he was a retired hydrologic technician for the USGS, a veteran of the U.S. Army and member of Makawao Hongwanji.

He is survived by his wife, Caren Gohara of Pukalani; daughters, Cary (Calvin) Hayashi of Pahoa and Lauren Gohara of New York; brother, Roy (Suni) of California; brother-in-law, Clifford Arakawa of California; granddaughter, Sara Hayashi of Hilo.
Pre-deceased by brother, Tadashi (Sachie) Gohara and sister Patsy Arakawa.
