Nobuichi Ralph Yamanaka, 89

Nobuichi Ralph Yamanaka, 89, of Wailuku, Maui, passed away peacefully on November 18, 2019 under the compassionate care of Hospice Maui.

Services honoring Mr. Yamanaka will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2019, at Makawao Veterans Cemetery at 1:00pm, with military honors. No Koden.

Nobuichi Ralph was born on December 15, 1929 to Mr. Koichi and Mrs. Hanayo Yamanaka in Waihee, HI. Ralph owned his own landscaping business. He served proudly in the United States Army and the Korean War. Most importantly, he loved time with family and friends.

Nobuichi Yamanaka is predeceased by his son, Todd Koichi; brothers, Kenneth (Kats) Yamanaka, James (Masa) Yamanaka, Stanley (Bones) Yamanaka, and hanai brother, Richard (Pablo) Caldito; sister, Mildred (Maggie) Ikeda; and stepsister, Umeko Ishizaka.

Nobuichi Yamanaka leaves to cherish his memory, nephews, George Allen (Nina) Ikeda, New Jersey, John (Michael) Ikeda, California, Mark Yamanaka, Honolulu, Keith Yamanaka, Maui; nieces, Karen (Glenn) Higuchi, Margie (Ryan) Tanaka, June Yamanaka, Honolulu, Sandra (Jeff) Koga, Maui; Many grand nieces, nephews, and the rest of the Caldito ohana; very special classmates, fellow Korean War Veterans, Grace Deporter, and Mike Takamatsu especially.
