Kengo Kato, 97, of Kahului, Maui, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2019, with loving family by his side.
Services honoring Mr. Kato will be held on Sunday, December 29, 2019 at Wailuku Hongwanji, with visitation at 10:00am, and service at 11:00am.
Kengo was born on August 10, 1922 to Mr. Chyotaro and Mrs. Moto Kato in Maui, HI. He was an Electrician and took great pride in providing for the family. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed photography, fishing, music, gardening, carpentry, working on the house, but most importantly, he cherished time spent with family and friends.
Kengo Kato is predeceased by son in law, Milton Hiura.
Kengo Kato leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 70 years, Lana Ritsuko Kato; and daughters, Inez Kato, Carol Kato Hiura, and Jane (Daryl) Kurozawa.
