Amelia Kurahara, 94, of Kahului, Maui passed away on May 15, 2020 while under the loving care of Islands Hospice Maui. She was born to Katsumi and Kimiyo Katsutani on February 16, 1926 in Wailuku, Maui. She retired from the Department of Education as a Cafeteria Cook at Haiku Elementary School.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Amelia is predeceased by her husband, Arthur S. Kurahara; survived by her children, Adrienne (Michael) Asato, Alan (Mari) Kurahara, and Alison Ordonez; grandchildren, Kristi-Lyn Wooten, Ryan Umeno, Miki-Ann (Zachary) Fetalvero, and David Kurahara; great grandchildren, Rylie Wooten, Zachary Wooten and Zemila Fetalvero.
