Rae Ann Yap, 64

It is with great sadness that the Ohana of Rae Ann Yap announces her passing on August 2, 2020.

It was Rae’s wishes that her ashes be scattered across Hana Bay. On August 30, 2020, in a small ceremony officiated by Pastor Ka Wolffgramm of House of Hope Fellowship in Hana, of which Rae was a member, her ashes were scattered across Hana Bay in a canoe paddle out. A group of her friends attended the ceremony and spoke about their unforgettable memories of Rae.

Rae Ann Yap was born to Eugene “Bud” Brizinski and Frances Brizinski on June 27, 1956 in Upland, California. She was a free spirit and chose to live in Hawaii since 1976.

Rae always saw the world through her rose colored glasses. Her family will miss her laughter and her crazy, fun stories. She loved to travel and meet new friends which especially included doggies.

Rae is survived by her sister, Trinka Zweig, by her niece, Rachel Zweig, by her nephew Jonathan Zweig, and by her “best friend doggie” Manu.
