Clifford H Koki, 66

Clifford Hatsuyuki Koki passed away on November 25, 2020 at his home in Kapuna, Waihe’e, Maui. He was born January 29, 1954 in Wailuku, Maui to the late Masamu and Leocadia Koki.

Clifford was retired from the State of Hawaii, Department of Transportation, MVSO. During his retirement, he enjoyed reading, travel-ing, cooking, working in his yard, cultivating and growing Hawaiian chili peppers, avocados, and fruits which he generously shared. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends, talking story. His greatest joy was being Papa to grandson Noah.

Clifford is survived by his wife Cristal, son Russell (Amanda), grandson Noah, brothers Lawrence (Lani) Koki and Glenn (Janice) Koki. He is also survived by numerous aunties, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a good man, helpful, kind, loving, and generous – taken too soon – and will be deeply missed.

The family would like to acknowledge and express their sincere gratitude to the employees of the Maui Police Department, Maui Fire Department, and AMR Hawaii who responded to their emergency call. They would also like to express their deep appreciation and gratitude to family, friends, neighbors, colleagues, both near and far, for the outpouring of love and support in response to their devastating loss. They will remember all of you and are forever grateful.

Due to the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic, no public funeral was scheduled and private services were held.
