Mae Omuro, 85

Mae Omuro, 85, of Wailuku, Maui passed away on September 4, 2020, at her home surrounded by her children.

Mae was born in Pu’unene, Maui, to Harold and Teruko Fujimoto. She was a 1953 graduate of H.P. Baldwin High School and attended Wisconsin University. She also earned an MEd from Indiana State Teachers College. Mae worked for the State DOE for 34 years and was a dedicated teacher who was encouraging, caring, and always striving for excellence.

Mae regularly volunteered at many organizations on Maui and was also a Silver Sister of Alpha Delta Kappa. When she was not volunteering, she traveled.
