Edmund Kaloi Cockett, 95,

Edmund Kaloi Cockett, of Wailuku, passed away at home with his ohana that he loved so much by his side on February 8, 2021. He was born in Wailuku to Lawrence Cockett and Haru Matsui Cockett on October 6, 1925.

A memorial service will be held on February 22, 2021 @ 12:00pm at Nakamura Mortuary, with service at 12:30pm. Burial will be held on February 24, 2021 @ 11:00am at Maui Veterans Cemetery in Makawao.

He was predeceased by his wife, Martha Cockett and daughter, Agnes “Nani” Cockett.

He was also survived by his children: Carol (Billy) Jones, Lani (Susan) Joaquin, Charlie (Mona) Joaquin, Wayne (Steph) Cockett, Maile Manalo, Germaine (Tony) Jacang, and Wanda Sajulga; his brother Benji Cockett, 13 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, 14 Great Great Grand Children and numerous friends and family.

After graduating from Baldwin High School, Edmund entered the US Army, where he served his country from 1945-1947. He later worked for the Maui County Department of Water as an inspector.

Not only was he a loving and hardworking man, but he also loved golfing.

Family would like to thank Islands Hospice, Ines Antolin and David Nakamura for all the support during the past couple months.
