Masako Nakasone (aka: Betty Nakasone) 91 years old of Kahului, Maui went to be with the Lord on August 11, 2021.
She was a Truck Driver for Dole Company on Lanai and worked as an Adult Supervisor / Custodian at Paia Elementary School in Paia. She liked listening to Hawaiian and Japanese/Okinawan Music and watching hula and Okinawan and Japanese Dances.
Masako was preceded by her husband Koei Nakasone, Her father: Matsu Futema and Mother Kamaru Yamashiro. Preceded by her brothers: Hideo Hotema, Takematsu Futema,and Sister: Sueko Futema Hatayama.
Masako was survived by her Brothers: Shigeru (Ethel) Hotema and Nobu Hotema. Daughters: Shirley (David) Nanod and Bettina (Leland) Nakasone-Okura. Grandchildren: Jolene (Victor) Chongchua, David (Mikala) Nanod, Keoki (Moani'Keala) Nonod-Sitch, Brian Nakao, Ryan (Alane) Kaneshiro, Francine Nakao, Noelani (Jeremy) Nakasone.
Masako had 15 great grandchildren.
There will be a Private Family Service and Burial to follow at the Makawao Veteran Cemetery.
