Eric C. Sakugawa, 70, of Kula, Maui passed away on October 25, 2021. He was born on August 11, 1951; the fifth child of James and Jane Sakugawa.
Eric graduated from Maui High School and California State University, Fresno.
He was a partner in the family's cattle and hog business, James C. Sakugawa and Sons, along with his brothers. The business is operated on Maui, Haleiwa (Oahu), Molokai and Merced, California .
Eric is survived by his sisters: Carol (David) Chang and Evelyn (Richard Kido) Sakugawa and brothers: Ronald (Stephanie) Sakugawa and Jerry (Elsie) Sakugawa. He is also survived by nieces and nephews: Karsha (Andrew Tsukahira) Chang, Jason (Jodi) Chang, Jamie (Jared) Phillips, Jolynn Sakugawa, JC (Naomi) Sakugawa, Lindsay Kido, Scott Sakugawa and Troy Sakugawa and great grand nieces and nephews: Remy Tsukahira, Kaya Chang, Karter Chang, Kylie Chang, Callie Phillips, Chance Phillips and James Sakugawa.
Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m on Saturday November 6th, 2021 at Ballard Family Mortuary with burial at 2:00 p.m at Maui Memorial Park.
