Peter Schramm was born in Santa Barbara to Edward W. Schramm and Janet Angell Schramm. Since childhood Peter had a passion for all things mechanical. His intelligence and knowledge were wide ranging; a friend of the family said he knew lots about a lot of things.
His main expertise was in rebuilding and repairing automobiles but he developed a range of skills that enabled him to successfully rewire a house, build a staircase, shoot pool, repair clocks…
For the past forty years he lived and worked on the island of Maui.
Peter died peacefully in his sleep at Maui Memorial Medical Center after a brief illness.
He is survived by his sisters, Gretchen, Judy, and Jenifer Schramm.
