"Maui" was called to Heaven on October 15, 2021 in Henderson Nevada. Raised in Lahaina; a graduate from Lahainaluna in 1977 followed by serving in the Army.
He is survived by his only daughter Christine Kaniho who resides in Tennessee, His 2 brothers: Michael (Teresa) Kaniho, Kenneth (Zelie) Kaniho both of Henderson, His 2 Sisters: Florence (predeceased by brother-in-law Sione) Poasi of Wailuku, Vergie (Robert) McIntosh of Pahoa, and sister-in-law Patty Kaniho of Kula, 10 nieces, 4 nephews, lots of grand nieces & grand nephews, many cousins, Aunties and Uncles and distant relatives on all islands. He was predeceased by his brother William "Billy" Kaniho Sr, parents An-nie (Naeole) & William "Kane" Kaniho all of Lahaina.
Burial service at Maui Veterans Memorial Park in Makawao at 11 a.m. on 11/19/2021 followed by a Celebration of Life at Rice Park.
