Mariano Domingo of Kahului lived a full life and returned Home at the age of 89.
He was born on October 13, 1932 in Laoag City, Philippines.
He moved to Hawai'i to find the American Dream as he was petitioned by his older brother Juan Domingo. He was a humble, hardworking man, and he continued to work even after retirement.
Mariano loved to attend parties, get to know and help people, tend to his garden, and appreciate the simple things in life. He was very proud of his family and was present for every milestone and family Sunday brunch. From building swings for his grandkids to packing balikbayan boxes, he was dependable and loved his family unconditionally.
The night before he passed at Maui Memorial Medical Center, he was (virtually) surrounded by the love of his entire family as we said our thanks and goodbyes.
He will be deeply missed by his beloved wife Florentina, children and their spouses: Edwin (Celia) Domingo, Maria (Jeffrey) Thomas, Nora (Gener) Macaraeg, Vilma (Jeremy) Loque and 10 grandchildren: Eileen, Christine, Jasmine, Shanelle Macaraeg, Gina Domingo, Alex Macaraeg, Elizabeth Thomas, Angelo Macaraeg, Faith Thomas, Aliyana Loque), the family of his siblings: the Late Juan Domingo, the Late Victoriano Domingo, Zoila Domingo, Modesta Domingo and Rosita Garo and his memory will live on for-ever in our hearts.
Celebration of life will be at Ballard Family Mortuary (440 Ala Makani St., Kahului) on December 22, 2021. Public visitation starts at 9 a.m. followed by service and burial at Valley Isle Memorial Park in Haiku.
Thank you to all who have reached out to the family with your condolences, love, and prayers. Services will be held at Christ the King Church with burial to follow at Valley Isle Memorial Park.
