Joel Meaolalani Kunikatsu-Ni Nobriga of Kahului, Maui passed away on Aug. 17, 2021 in Lakewood, Colorado.
He was born on January 9, 1991.
Joel is survived by his parents, Joseph and Joyce Nobriga; service dog Hunny Girl; brothers, Joseph (Stacey) Nobriga, Jr. and Joe-Joshua Nobriga; sister Greysie Nobriga; nephews, Leo, Lucan, and Landon Nobriga, and Ace Aluli-Vega; niece Azalea Aluli-Vega; godparents, Louie and Brenda Demello, and Cindy Cobb, and best friend, Wayne "Keoki" Darisay. He is also pre-deceased by his loyal service dogs,Joey & Lilly.
Services for Joel will be held at Ballard Family Mortuary located at 440 Ala Makani Street, Kahului, on Saturday, January 22, 2022 with family viewing at 10:00 a.m., prayer service at 11:30 a.m., and public viewing to follow at 12:00 p.m.
Ballard Family Mortuary has requested that as a precaution and for the safety of everyone, that all who attend to use facial masks and practice social distancing during this event.
