Asaye Aotaki, 96, of Lahaina passed away peacefully on May 31, 2022, under the compassionate care of the staff at Hale Makua Kahului (Pikake Wing) and Hospice Maui. She was born on September 16, 1925 to parents Chujiro and Fusa Kamimoto of Lahaina.
She is survived by her daughters, Rhonda Pang and Sandra (Glenn) Michimoto; grandsons, Christopher (June) Pang and Ryan (Amanda) Michimoto; granddaughter, Lindsay (Nathan) Tsuhako; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Anita Yamafuji, Jane Imai, and Jessie (Arthur) Sakai; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Asaye was predeceased by her husband, Larry Aotaki, daughter, Jocelyn (Steve, deceased) Phillip, and brother Kazuto Kamimo-to.
Our family would like to extend our Deepest Appreciation to the staff at Hale Makua Kahului (Pikake Wing) and Hospice Maui for the wonderful care and support she received.
A private family ser-vice will be held at a later date.
