Megumi Takemoto, 91 of Makawao, Maui passed away on May 13, 2022 under the care of Hospice Maui.
A private service was held at Makawao Hongwanji on Saturday, June 4, 2022.
Mrs. Takemoto was born on October 7, 1930 in Wailuku, Maui. She was the daughter of Genjiro and Suye Honda.
Megumi worked for Komoda Bakery in Makawao as a cashier. She loved the simple life, always taking care of her family and children. Her favorite past time was relaxing at the end of the day with her family and watching Wheel of Fortune.
Megumi is survived by her beloved husband, Susumu Takemoto; children, Iris (Wesley) Imamura and Jeff (Karen) Takemoto; brother, Yochi (Lillian) Honda and 3 grandsons and 2 great grandsons.
