Genevieve Iwalani Ho’omana
Genevieve Iwalani Ho’omana-loving wife, mother of three, sister, and grandmother – passed away on November 1, 2022 peacefully in her home sur-rounded by her ‘ohana.
Lani was born to Margaret and Segundo Ra-boy in Wailuku, Hawai’i. She graduated from St. Anthony School and moved to O’ahu to attend business school. While in Honolulu, she met the love of her life, John W. Ho’omana, Jr. They had three children: Lee, Kealoha and Kawehi. John and Lani built their lives together in Kane’ohe, where they raised their family. She worked as an administrative assistant at Dole Foods, OHA and DHHL, as well as Liberty House/Macy’s until she retired in 2010.
Lani and John moved back to Maui after retirement and enjoyed their golden years spending time with family, volunteering and traveling. A highlight of her life is her eight grandchil-dren: Kila, Kauka, Ha’aheo, Hilina’i, Kamaha’o, Ho’omana, Hala’i and Kalahikiola.
Lani is survived by her husband, three children, eight grandchildren, two sisters (Mililani and Puanani), two brothers (Arturo and Robin) and a huge loving family on both Maui and O’ahu islands.
Services: Maui – November 18, 2022 Pa’ia Hawaiian Protestant Church, 4pm: Visitation, Service: 5pm – 6pm
O’ahu – December 9, 2022 Kaumakapili Church 4pm: Visitation, Service: 5pm-6pm
