Joseph Faustino "Fox" Ricamara, 83, of Wailuku, passed away at home on December 25, 2022.
He was born on November 8, 1939 in Wailuku, Maui to the late Faustino and Concordia Recamara. He graduated from St Anthony High School, Class of 1958.
Joe was an Air Force veteran, a retired State of Hawaii Airport Crash/Rescue Firefighter and retired Taxi owner/driver. He was also a staunch practitioner and pioneer member of SGI-USA Hawaii Nichiren Buddhism lay organization since 1974.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 20, 2023 at Ballard Family Mortuary in Kahului from 10:00am with service to begin at 11:00am.
He is survived by his former wife NaniLei Busby and their sons, Justin Recamara and Cory Ricamara; brothers, Charles (Elizabeth) Recamara, and Jerry (Clarice) Recamara; sisters, Beatrice (widow) Rivera, Priscilla Ah Yen, Janice (Bonifacio) Fillazar, and Deborah (Walter) Medeiros.
