Daniel Casabay Badua, of Kahului, Maui passed away peacefully at home on February 5, 2023 surrounded by his family. He was born in San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte, Philippines to Victorio and Januaria Badua on August 22, 1950.
Daniel migrated from the Philippines to Hilo, HI on May 1986 then moved to Maui were he had settled with his family. Daniel was a hard worker. He worked various jobs to provide a better life for his family as a dishwasher in Cupies to a worker at Makena Golf Course from 1988 to 1989. He then worked as a construction worker at central masonry and Sudas until he retired in the year of 2012. While retired, Daniel enjoyed spending his time watching his youngest grand-daughter and of course, making his famous banana lumpia that everyone enjoyed.
Visitation and viewing only will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2023 from 6:30pm to 9:00pm at Ballard Family Mortuary in Kahului. Second day services will be held on Friday, February 24, 2023 at Ballard Family Mortuary Kahului from 9:30am to 1:00pm; with prayer service to begin at 11:00am. Final resting place will take place at Valley Isle Memorial Park in Haiku at 2:00pm.
Daniel is survived by his loving wife, Judith Badua; children, Jenelyn (Leslie Jr.) Pagan, Josienel (Benson Jr.) Yoro, Maui Jayne (Kile) Ausa, Janelle (Keanu) Ibuos and Danica (Zachary) Badua; and grandchildren, Carissa, Boston and Aaron Pagan; Bryson and Shawn Yoro; Melanie Jude Ibuos; siblings, Eusebio (Angela) Badua, Petra Duldulao, Hilarion (Tessie) Badua and Ligaya (Lito) Gelacio. Predeceased by his siblings: Dolores Sahagun, Senecio (Leonila) Badua and Alexander Badua.
