Hazel Azcueta Luis, 52

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we share the passing of Hazel Azcueta Luis, a loving and kind soul. She peacefully transitioned on January 12, 2023 surrounded by her family.

Hazel was born on June 19, 1971 in Cabugao, Ilocos Sur, Philippines. She will always be remembered as a natural, nurturing figure to everyone she crossed paths with. Her contagious humor and smile lit up the room.

Hazel is survived by her mother, Soledad Azcueta and the late Jaime Azcueta of Lahaina; Mother of Zachery, Zarian, Zaeden, Zianna, and father of her children, Richie "Kaleo" Luis; Siblings Rose (Jimmy) Somera, Jimmy (Melinda) Azcueta; and Glenn (Gillian) Azcueta.

We would like to invite all her family and friends to celebrate her life at Nakamura Mortuary and Crematory on February 9, 2023; public viewing at 5:30-7 p.m. and service 7-8 p.m. Nakamura Mortuary and Crematory on February 10, 2023; public viewing at 10-12 p.m. and burial at Maui Memorial Park Garden of Meditation at 1 p.m. in Wailuku.
