Ambrose Sunny Kapono, Jr., 88
Ambrose Sunny Kapono, of Las Vegas, Nevada and formally from Keanae, Maui, passed away on December 2, 2022. He was born on September 3, 1934.
Ambrose served in the United States Marine Corps from 1952 to1973, earning the rank of Master Sargent. Upon retirement from the Marine Corps, he went to work for Edison Nuclear Power, working with the security force of the California power plant.
A service over urn will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at Ballard Family Mortuary from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.; with service to begin at 10:00 a.m. His final resting place will be at Maui Memorial Park joining his beloved wife, Lota Katherine Kapono at 12:30 p.m.
Ambrose is survived by his four sons, David A. Kapono of Las Vegas, Michael J. Kapono of Lutz, FL., Thomas A. Kapono of Las Vegas and Daniel M. Kapono of Foutuna, CA; 13 Grandkids, and 15 Great Grandkids.
