John "Jack" Charles Boyd, a resident of Hale Makua and Kihei, Maui, died peacefully on January 31, 2023.
Jack was born on June 8, 1937 in Delaware County, Pennsylvania to John Cornish Boyd and Margaret Ruth Kenny.
He is survived by son, Jason Milne of Switzerland; brothers, Frank Boyd of Pennsylvania, Donald Boyd of Florida; his companion, Luana Rowland of California and countless of friends.
John graduated from Havorford Penn High with a basketball scholarship to Lycoming College, where he graduated with a major in history.
He taught history at Upper Darby High and had a career in modeling and commercials in New York.
In 1973 he moved to Maui County, where he owned a taxi business and was a bartender and partner in Aloha ATM.
He moved to Hale Makua after a debilitating stroke, where he was a beloved resident for ten years and lovingly called "Happy Jack".
Jack was also a devoted follower of Paramahansa Yogananda.
Jack's Motto was "Life is a joy and then we ascend."
A memorial service will be at a later date.
