James "Pnut" Katsuichi Higa of Kahului, passed away surrounded by his family on May 21, 2023.
He was born on April 15, 1942 to Jenichi and Toshiko Higa in Paia.
James is survived by his wife, Terry Y. Higa; sons, Kimo Higa (Brianna Wianecki) and Tyson Higa (Cassie Pacheco);grandchildren, MacKenzie and MacKenna Pacheco; sister, Elaine (George) Fujita; brother, Raymond (June) Higa; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and lastly, the family fur companion, Hoku.
James was the former owner of Waikapu Stop.
Services will be held at Nakamura Mortuary on June 22, 2023. Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. and service at 5:00 p.m. Please no flowers.
