Rose "Kahina" Mahi Victorino was born on October 11, 1933 to John and Rose Mahi, Sr., of Iao Valley, Wailuku, Maui, HI.
She is survived by her 3 youngest remaining siblings of 9; "Anna" Aunty Puanani, "Louise" Aunty Wainani, and "John Jr." Uncle JJ; her 3 sons, "Bede" Benjamin, "Kunane" Brian, and "Ryoko" Bill; 8 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.
Rose graduated from Baldwin High School in 1949 at age 16, and started college at Brigham Young University, Provo in 1951. Rose graduated from Brigham Young with a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology with a minor in Political Science in 1955.
Rose served an honorable mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the state of Hawaii.
Rose worked in the tourism industry as a driver and a tour guide with McKenzie Tours and retired with TransHawaiian Tours. We invite all who have been influenced by/from Rose "Kahina" Victorino to celebrate her Life on June 24th, 2023 at The LDS Chapel, 125 West Kamehameha Avenue, Kahului, HI 96732.
Public viewing will be from 9:30am-10:30am and followed by a Celebration of Life Service from 11:00am-12:00pm. Burial to follow at Maui Memorial Park at 12:30pm.
