Margaret Shigeko Asami Nagasako, 97
Margaret Shigeko Asami Nagasako, of Lahaina, Maui, passed away on September 3, 2023, at Straub Clinic in Honolulu.
She was born on Oct. 19, 1925, in Lahaina, to Shinichi and Mizumi Asami.
Visitation will be held from 9:00a.m. to 1:00p.m. on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at Ballard Family Mortuary; services start at 11:00a.m.
Burial will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2023 at the Maui Veteran’s Cemetery in Makawao.
Margaret was a proud graduate of Lahainaluna High School.
She worked at Nagasako Super Market, Nagasako Variety and Nagasako General Store.
She was predeceased by her husband, Goro Nagasako.
She is survived by her daughter, Gayle Nagasako; siblings, Lillian “Sada” Tanji, Doris “Nobu” Isa, Lawrence “Danny” Asami; and nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grand-nephews.
