It is with a sad heart that we announce the passing of Nely Acido Blue of Kahului, Maui, passed away peacefully at her residence surrounded by loved ones on Tuesday, September 5, 2023. Nely was born in Bangui, Ilocos Norte, Philippines on November 15, 1963.
Funeral service will be held at Nakamura Mortuary in Wailuku on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, from 5pm to 8pm. On the following day Thursday, October 5, 2023, prayer service starts 9AM to 12Noon at Nakamura Mortuary in Wailuku. Burial will be at 12 noon, she will rest in Wailuku Memorial Park.
She worked in the hospitality industry at Marriott for a decade. She loved working and had many friends. Nely loved cooking Filipino foods and deserts, she always shared her foods with relatives, friends and neighbors. She was always there for anyone in need. Her humble, gracious heart, and laugh will be missed. Nely was a sweet wife, caring mother, loving grandma, supportive sibling, selfless person. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her beloved husband William Blue, her daughter Wing Yan Bumanglag, her son in lawBryan Bumanglag, and 2 grandchildren and her 7 siblings.
