Carol Jean Kehaulani Medeiros

Carol Jean, a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, following the example of her Lord and savior Jesus Christ, leaves to carry on her legacy of love and faith, her husband, Gregory; children, Maile (Ben) Corpuz, Melia Ballesteros, Keli’i Medeiros, and Kaimana Medeiros; grandchildren, Noah, Kaeo, Kahiau, and Kamaehu Corpuz, Landon and Shayla Ballesteros, and Kayden Medeiros; great-grandson, Imiloa Corpuz.

She is also survived by her siblings, Rosemary Rico, Rainell (Warren) Soong, Donald (Doralynn) Baldwin, Jr., and John (Trina) Napaepae, many nieces and nephews, and extended family and friends who love and miss her dearly.

Carol Jean was preceded in death by her mother and father, Geneva Napaepae Baldwin, and Donald Baldwin, Sr., her beloved aunties who raised Carol and her siblings as their own, Bernice Napaepae and Barbara Ampong; sisters, Donnalene (Clifford) DeMello and Emily Katherine Baldwin, all of whom we are certain welcomed Carol home with open arms and immense joy and rejoicing (and most likely a rousing rendition of the Lahainaluna High School Alma Mater with Carol leading the song, of course)!

The family wishes to express gratitude for the support and care received at Islands Hospice Kahului.

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Kahului West Stake Center, Maui Lani; service will begin at 11 a.m.; burial 1 p.m. at Maui Veterans Cemetery.
