Edward A. Glassel

Born and raised in New York City, he attended William Howard Taft High School in the Bronx followed by 2 years at New York University while also serving in the New York National Guard. He moved to Manhattan where he met his wife, Hilary, and together they relocated to northern Nevada, residing in the Reno/Tahoe area for 30 years. In 2006 they moved to Maui – and never left! Ed always had an entrepreneurial spirit and owned various businesses in Nevada and in Hawaii including an alternative health magazine, Ohohio, published in Maui, and the Livewire Cafe in Paia.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years and will be remembered with love as a kind and gentle soul who frequently walked to the beat of a different drum.
