Eric Pierson
Eric Andrew Pierson, 42, passed away on Monday December 4, 2023 at his home in Haiku, HI. Eric was born January 25, 1981 in Bethesda, MD. Eric spent most of his childhood in Fairbanks, AK where he made lifelong friends that were like family to him.
Eric had a love for all living creatures. All who knew him experienced his excitement over plants and animals that he found interesting and intriguing, and can share stories about the different species he encountered. Eric’s love for animals led him to his career as a veterinary technician.
After high school, Eric moved to Hawaii and never left. It was his home and where he belonged. Hawaii is where he met his true partner in all aspects of life, his best friend of 25 years, Dave.
Eric had a true gift at creating pottery. If you are lucky to own a piece, treasure it.
Eric is survived by his best friend & spouse, David Rostetter, his father Roy (Malena) Pierson, sister Kelsey (Jeremy) LeCrone, mother-in-law Mary Ellen Rostetter, sister-in-laws Emily (Brent) Madsen, Joanna Rostetter & Aimee Lauren, brother-in-law Daniel Rostetter, niece Elsa Madsen, nephews Remy & David Madsen, step-siblings Kaydence & Frederick Lennon & a special Aunt Cindy & Uncle Doug Secrist, along with many cousins and other extended family.
His father-in-law David Rostetter Sr. precedes Eric in death.
A gathering of family and friends will be on Monday, February 19, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Baldwin Beach on Maui (Eric’s favorite beach).
