Felipa “Loring” Cabaong
Felipa “Loring” Quitoriano Cabaong, 93, peacefully passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at her home in Kaunakakai, Molokai. She is originally from Narvacan Ilocos Sur, Philippines. Loring got married in March 1956 to Alejandro Garces Cabaong (deceased), and that same year, she moved to Kualapuu, Molokai.
Loring first work in the pineapple field for Del Monte Corp., and in 1971, she was hired as a nurses aide for the Molokai General Hospital, eventually became a certified nurses aide, and then retired in 1993. She was an avid catholic parishioner for the St. Theresa and St. Sophia Churches, which combined to one church and now called the St. Damien of Molokai Parish.
She is survived by her three children, Shirley (Gary), Nena (Ben, deceased), and Marilyn; six grandchildren (one deceased); and four great grandchildren. Loring’s Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 4th, at the St. Damien of Molokai Parish in Kaunakakai.
Family visitation is from 8am to 8:30am, public visitation 8:30am to 9:45am, and the full mass begins at 10am. May our mom’s love and legacy be remembered forever in our hearts.
