Benjamin Q. Bello
Benjamin Quinsay Bello, 65, of Wailuku passed away peacefully on Saturday, Feb. 3, 2024 surrounded by close family at Mayo Clinic Arizona. Ben was born on October 24, 1958 to the late Lt. Col. Benjamin Bello (Sr) and Filomena Bello in Urdaneta City, Philippines. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and brother. Ben is an alumni of Divine Word Academy- Urdaneta City and the University of the East Manila Philippines where he majored in Business Management. Ben was a varsity and professional basketball player before moving to Maui, Hawaii. He successfully founded and managed a commercial janitorial company for 31 years and loved playing golf with friends and family. Ben is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 47 years, Esther, his two children, Benjamin III (Colorado)and Heather(Arizona), his son-in-law Alex, and his grandson, and greatest joy, Emerson. He is also survived by his sisters Lydia [Arcellano] Mones (UK), Helen [Danny] De Leon (PHIL), and brother, Atty. Renato [Imelda] Bello (PHIL). He was a very proud uncle to several nieces and nephews as well. Ben was preceded in death, by his sister, Virginia [DeRoy] Green, and his parents Lt. Col. Benjamin (Sr) and Filomena Bello. A funeral mass will be celebrated at Saint Anthony Church, Wailuku, Hawaii on Friday, June 7, 2024 from 9am-12 noon.
