Valerie Mullins
Our beloved mother and grandmother, Valerie Ann Mullins of Makawao, age 68, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2024 surrounded in love with her family by her side.
Born to Irene and John Beal, Valerie attended Maui High School and graduated from the University of Hawaii with a Bachelor of Arts. She retired from the State of Hawaii as a social worker after a long career in the service of others.
Valerie can best be remembered for her wealth of selflessness, to put the needs of others above her own, her can do attitude of, “Shoots, I get ’em” to the most difficult of tasks, her fierce determination, and generous spirit. She is survived by her daughters Cherisse (Roger) and Jessica (Nathan), and her grandchildren, Colton, Colin, and Calia.
A private celebration of life for family members will be hosted on Maui. In lieu of flowers or gifts, memorial donations may be made in Valerie’s name to Hospice of the Panhandle, 330 Hospice Lane, Kearneysville, WV 25430.
