Marjorie Ullerich
Marjorie Ullerich passed away peacefully on August 19th, 2024, in Wailuku, Hawaii. She was born on March 31st, 1933, in Cedar Rapids, lowa, and raised by her parents, William and Marie Probst. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1950.
On April 14th, 1956, she married Waldo Ullerich in Cedar Rapids. In 1960, they moved to Colorado and lived there for 40 years, raising their son Jeffrey and daughter Kathy. Marjorie's last occupation was as an antique dealer in the Denver area, which she thoroughly enjoyed. In 2000, they moved to Maui, where they became members of Emmanuel Lutheran Church. Marjorie took a Master Gardener course in Colorado and enjoyed raising flowers. She is survived by her husband Waldo Ullerich, son Jeffrey Ullerich, daughter Kathy Ullerich, son-in-law Tim Imai, and grandchildren Joshua and Emily Ullerich. For the past 8 years, Marjorie received excellent care from both the staff at Hale Makua Wailuku and from Milba Melchor in her care home.
A memorial service will be held on September 21st at 11 a.m.It will be held at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 520 West One Street, Kahului, Hawaii 96732. A private scattering of ashes will be held at a later date.
Donations may be made to Emmanuel Lutheran Church for the benefit of the Maui Wildfire victims.
