David Freitas Jr.

Services will be held at Ballard Family Mortuary on November 2, 2024, from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm

Mr. Freitas was born June 26,1940 to David Freitas Sr and Ruth Lei Mitchell in Paia Maui. As a child David enjoyed growing up with his 7 siblings in Keanae. He would tell stories of all their adventures.

David is survived by his wife Constance, son David (Verna) Freitas III, 4 daughters Delva Valdez, Delvina (Vernon) Rosa, Dionne Freitas Amoral and Vernadeen Freitas, Stepchildren Rachel Souki, Vincent Souki and Jacob Souki. David has 13 Grandchildren, 16 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great great Grandchildren, 2 Sisters Dorothy Leilani Hunt-Stant and Pearl Leimamo Stinson and 1 Brother Jerry (Janet) Freitas.

David retired from the operator’s engineer local #3 after 35 years. He was an avid cowboy and an honorary member of the Makawao Roping Club. He was so honored to be the 59th Makawao 4th of July Rodeo Grand Marshal.
