Herminia T. Crisologo, 102, of Wailuku, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2024, at Hospice Maui, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 10, 1921, in Bangui, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. Herminia pursued a career as an optometrist in the Philippines before moving to Hawaii in 1969, where she worked at Hale Makua as a nurses aid and in sales at a jewelry store in Lahaina . After retiring, she dedicated herself fully to her family, always giving and caring for her loved ones.
She is survived by her son, Jaminel Del Rosario (Nona); her two grandsons, Jaminel and Jaime (Joyce); six great-grandchildren, Bradley (Mical), Cyrus (Janessa), Cain (Noelyn), Meghan (Michael), Casey, and Chance; and six great-great-grandchildren, Chanelle, Chaycen, Ryder, Rylee, Chalyce, and Ryus.
Funeral services will take place at Christ the King Church on Friday, October 25, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:15 p.m., with light refreshments provided. The service will continue on Saturday, October 26, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Christ the King Church, followed by lunch. Burial will take place at 2 p.m. at Maui Memorial Park, Kaunaoa Garden.
