Merry Greer Prince
Merry Greer Prince of Kula, Maui, passed away on Nov. 15, 2024 at Hospice Maui Hale surrounded by family and friends. ‘Greer’ was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on June 12, 1959.
Predeceased by her parents William and Betty Prince.
Survived by her best friend and wife Trudi Vierra of 33 years.
Brothers Marc (Debra) Prince and David (Shauna) Prince as well as nieces and nephews Michael, Joshua, Danielle, Samantha, Samuel and Greer. Her fur babies Mele and Shelby will miss her dearly.
Greer moved to Maui for “one year” with her dad to help him settle in Maui in 1988. Soon after in 1991 she would find herself employed by the Maui Police Department as their Research Analyst for the next 30 years until her retirement in 2021.
Greer found joy in many hobbies, including fishing, travelling, reading and spending peaceful mornings at the beach with her beloved dogs, Mele and Shelby.
Greer leaves a lasting legacy of kindness, wisdom, and strength. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, warm smile and the deep knowledge and love she shared with all who knew her. Her family, friends and everyone whose lives she touched will cherish her memory forever and hold her in their hearts until they meet again.
Thank you to Kaiser Permanente Oncology Departments in Wailuku and Moanalua, Maui Health Hospital and Hospice Maui Hale. The family will be forever grateful for all the love and care provided for Greer.
Celebration of Life to be hosted at (Kula) Von Tempsky Community Center Complex, Lower Kula Rd, Kula, Maui, HI on Sunday, December 15, 2024. Visitation 11:30 am – 1:00p.m. Service and lunch to follow. All are welcome.
