Sheldon Takashi Kele Masuda

Sheldon Takashi Kele Masuda, 61 of Wailuku, Maui, went home with the Lord on December 20, 2024 at Straub Medical Center on Oahu. He was born on October 8, 1963 in Wailuku, Maui.

Visitation will be held from 9-10:30am on Monday, January 13, 2025 at Ballard Family Mortuary; services will start at 10:30am burial will follow, 12:30pm at Maui Memorial Park in Wailuku.

Sheldon worked 37 years as a Service Express Bell Captain at The Westin Maui Resort & Spa in Kaanapali. He went to UH Manoa, graduated in Psychology, before pursuing a career at the hotel. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, golfing and swimming.

Sheldon was a beloved husband, father, brother, nephew and son.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Maryalice Masuda; his parents, Koki Masuda and the late Rene Masuda; his son, Jake Masuda; sister, Charla Doss (Randy); his brother, the late Harlan Masuda; and two nieces, Xena Pinheiro and Xeana Pinheiro, who will forever be daughters to him. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
