Kian Keonemana Lum
Kian Keonemana Lum passed away on February 7, 2025, at the age of 37 in Kahului, HI. Born on March 18, 1987, Kian was known for his kind and passionate nature, along with a remarkable sense of humor that brought joy to those around him.
Kian attended Maui high school, Baldwin high school and Wahiawa Community School, where he cultivated many lifelong friendships and interests. He pursued a career as a carpenter, dedicating himself to crafting and creating with skill and precision. His work not only built structures but also fortified the bonds within his community through the homes and spaces he helped create.
His love for the ocean was profound, manifesting in his hobbies of fishing and diving. Kian's culinary skills were another source of joy, as he loved cooking and was always eager to share meals and BBQs with friends and family, making every gathering memorable.
Kian is survived by his girlfriend, Kristy; his father, Benjamin Kelii; his mother, Rayana; his brothers, Corey, Kameron, and Christian; his sister-in-law, Sherelle; his nephew, Kyten; his niece, Kylena; and his brother-in-law, Jordan. His family and friends remember him as a generous and loving soul, whose presence enriched their lives immeasurably.
A celebration of life will be held in his honor on Sunday, March 16th at 12 pm at Eddie Tam, Makawao. The gathering will be an opportunity to share favorite memories and stories, to laugh, to cry, and to remember a very special person who is greatly missed.
Kian's life was a testament to the power of kindness and the deep impact one individual can have on the world around them. His legacy of love and laughter will continue to inspire all who knew him.
