Wendell Molina
Wendell M. Molina, 61 of Waihee, Maui passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2025. He was born on August 18, 1963, to Marco and Evelyn Molina, Jr. of Waihee, Maui. He was predeceased by his parents. Wendell is survived by his siblings, Duane (Corazon)Molina, Donna (Fred)Ventura, and Jerome Molina. His eight nieces & nephews & fifteen great-nieces & nephews.
Wendell worked at Maui Soda & Ice Works, at Hawaiian Commercial & Sugar Co. where he went through their Millwright (Machinist, Welder, Mechanic) apprenticeship program and became a proficient Senior Journey worker working in the Mill. He later moved to the County of Maui Wastewater Operations department, as a mechanic and certified to work on backflow systems.
Wendell retired in April 2023 after 30 years of service and continued his part-time business, the owner of Akamai Backflow & Services which kept him busy! Wendell was also the primary caregiver of Dad in his later years, and full-time for Mom for the last two years.
Wendell will be warmly remembered as a person you could count on when you were in need. He treated everyone like a brother or sister, and no matter how busy he was, if you called him, he was there! Forever etched in our memory, Wendell had a smile that was contagious.
A one-day Funeral Service will be held at St. Ann’s Church, Saturday, February 15, 2025, with Family visitation, 8:30a.m.-9a.m. Public Visitation, 9:00 a.m.-10:30 a.m. Eulogy at 10:40 a.m., Mass at 11:00 a.m. Burial at 12:00 at Saint Ann’s Church Cemetery in Waihee.
